I finally recieved my ifab intake yesterday and installed it today. It does not include the tube, its just the part that replaces the airbox like a KKM. I love it! Definitely sounds good and a decent power increase. Really woke up my flowmaster as well. I did leave the bottom of the airbox in as a support instead of the included bracket (intake tube was rubbing on the alternator pully...not good, all better now). Now.... on with the pics!

looks good
another thing you really gain by leaving the bottom of the air box in on first gen's is the cool air flow from the bottom of the air box...which levels out the warmer air the filter may suck in the engine bay.
looks great...my kkm arrives tomorrow i'm extatic to put mine on..

My KKM is laying on top of the old air box intake.
Works great.
The KKM mounting bracket wasn't up to the task.

Looks great! That shiney new intake seems out of place though with that dirty engine bay. Haha.... time to bring out the engine degreaser, snocross. Shine that baby up! :D

NOW you get to join the ranks of the open element croud! Requirements = KEEP A PLASTIC BAG AN D ZIP TIES IN YOUR GLOVE BOX.

So when you are at the car wash you can zip tie a bag over your new filter and still spray down the engine, something it looks like you have NEVER DONE!!! hahahaha

What's the matter guys, you don't like my dirty engine bay? :D It actually has not been cleaned since I bought it (2 years ago). All I have to do is cover my filter huh? Electronics will be ok? Anyways, thanks for the commments guys!

There's nothin wrong with a dirty engine bay, heck mine looks about like that. If you wash it, it just gets dirty again right away anyway.

Looks good, I think its more perty than the KKM.

Thanks redrig :)

general x - There were two small hoses that come off the top of the airbox, is that what you mean? I just plugged those up like the directions said with the supplied plastic plugs.

Also I know some people say that theses would hurt performancce because the draw in hot underhood air. I really disagree because I left the bottom half of the airbox in with the pipe that goes from that to right next to the headlight, and after driving around for a half an hour I popped the hood and the intake tube is cold to the touch as well as the air filter itself. My guess is that it is NOT sucking in hot air if it feels as cool (if not cold) to the touch.
