Navigation Blues

Curious if this has happened to anyone else....we are about to go back home to Atlanta from DC tomorrow - about a 12 hour trip. On the way up, the navigation system had us taking about every side road, 2 lane country road, etc, imagineable. We had it set for fastest route, not shortest, but this didn't seem to make a difference. We finally broke out and used the map on my iPhone. I found that if I cancelled the route, typically just after it told me to exit the interstate to take another Farm road, then re-entered my destination, then it would change the route to stick to the interstate. Royal pain and I won't trust the nav without double checking against my iPhone again. It's nice when it works, but not as reliable as my old $200 Garmin...

Check your settings. In there you can set to avoid highways which maybe why yours is taking you on local roads only.

Thanks, but that wasn't it - one of the first things I checked - that was exactly what I thought too.
