I am new here, so bear with me if I ask something stupid that has already been addressed. In trying to use the MyTouch nave system in my 2 weej ikd Explorer Limited AWD, I am having a problem entering a destination. It will find some POI's but for some I get a "No Disk" message. If I go ahead and enter the address of the POI it finds it without a problem, and the icon for the POI is present there. Is it possible that I have a faulty disk and if so, how do I go about getting a new one? My previous vehicle was a 2011 Taurus with the nav system, whic was much easier to use. This is the third vehicle I have had with a nav system, plus I also had a portable so I am not totally unfamiliar witht them.

I notice references to versions on the forum. What is the latest version and how do I determine what I have.

One last question, I saw some posts referring to sending directions from Mapquest and Google. Is this possible and how do I use that feature? The owner's manual is silent on that subject.

I love the car, but I would like to have everything working. We travel in it quite a bit.

Welcome to the Forum jak378.:wavey:
As far as I know, there is no disk that we were supplied with for the nav.
The latest SYNC/MFT version is 3.5.1 and the nav card should be A4.
If you have not registered yet on www.syncmyride.com do so and it should show what the latest version is that you have on your vehicle.
I'm haven't tried entering a POI myself nor have I tried to send directs from MapQuest. I'm sure that another member will be able to help you there.
Again, welcome and happy motoring.

It calls it a disk, but I am guessing that it is referring to the SD card in the slot. There is no disk that I am aware of.

Hi, jak378!

Welcome and congrats on your new Explorer. :)

What POI were you looking for? I'll try to replicate the error message, but does it look like this:

Rebecca,

Yes it looks exactly like that, but it also popped up in a larger version. Iwas looking for several POI's, mostly hotels and restaurants in the Marrietta, Ga. Lexington, Ky., Paducah, Ky and other areas that we tend to frequent on our trips between Florida and Chicago or Wisconsin. The unit doesn't seem to have the capability of listing them properly. Any help would be appreciated. Am I correct in my assumption that when the warning refers to a disk, it is actually referring to the SD card, and is the card marked with the version it runs?

I will need to find out if you should be seeing that particular message during POI searches, so I don't want to speculate on if this is referring to the SD card. I'll send an email to my support right now and let you know what they say. Your card should be marked with A4 if it's the latest version.
