I read a review of the 2011 Explorer that said the Navigation systems loses it's signal easily when the SUV goes under a group of trees. It also says that the touch screen is very slow to respond.

Does anyone know of these type experiences?

I find the navigation works pretty well. The screen is a little slow to respond, but no slower for nav than any other feature on the touch screen. I actually find the voice commands much better, once you know what to say (there is a list of commands it understands). I find that I use the voice command button much more than I use the touch screen. Easier and safer. Have not had any issues with it losing its signal either.

I've only had my Sirius and Nav cut out once, and that was pulling into my garage. I live out in the country where I drive in ravines surrounded by trees every day and haven't had a problem. Touch screen response speed seems to vary, but it is acceptable to me.

Any one know what system the ford Nav is Garmin TomTom Magalen or other
