Need a locker

Looking for a locker but can't seem to find one since i have a L/S in the rear. Anyway to get one and some how mod the carrier? I am trying to oreder all the parts i need for my trip back home this summer for leave. Want to get everything before i go home so i can install it myself.

Should look into the Powertrax lockers. only one i have seen that fits in the factory L/S diff.

There are quite a few options that will replace you entire carrier. While your at it you might as well re-gear if you havent already. The Detriot locker is a very good reliable unit and it fairly priced.

Thanks for the info guys. I am most likely going to go with the powertrax and regear to 4.10's since the damn 01's sports have a 3.73 in them. I should have kept my 99 since it already had 4.10's.

also check into Aussie Lockers... they are relatively inexpensive and i have heard they perform well! I think you can get either front or rear for around 250 each.

This is what i will do in the future... i am not sure if you will have to mod the carrier but if your going to regear then might as well while your in there!!

Aussie doesn't make a locker for the LS carrier.

Best bet is Powertrax or replace the carrier.

get an open carrier from the junk yard they are a dime a dozen

Yeah if you're going to regear (as stated in reply #4), you might as well get an open carrier and throw in the Aussies because you're going to spend the money to re-set the gears anyway. Either that or get an entire carrier unit that is a locker.
