I have a problem that is either rotor or caliper related see video

I just installed new rotors (unfortunately from autozone), bearings from pep boys and I don't remember where I got the brake pads from they are chamfered.

It sounds like the caliper is binding and was intermitent but also like a warped rotor. When I first put these rotors on there was no shaking of the wheel while braking just the creaking sound. Now it feels like a warped rotr when braking.

Any clues

I will go check to make sure everything is tight but I'm pretty sure everything is good.

Yesterday I went and exchanged the rotor because the rotor was warped, see video. The new rotor also has run out maybe .050 from eyeballing it.

I still have the creaking noise you hear in the first video but not nearly as noticable as before the shutter from the warped rotor is gone.

Looks like I need new calipers too. Anyone know what the spec for runout on a rotor should be?

Are you sure the backing plate is not rubbing?
It doesn't sound like that kind of noise in the video, but you never know.

I would try to isolate it by taking the wheel off and spinning the rotor with lugnuts tightened. If it is still there take caliper off and try again. If it is still there take pads and clips out of bracket (bent and or missing clips will make some strange noises). If it is still there remove bracket. What shape are the bearings in and did you repack them?

Believe me the shutter under braking with the other rotor was bad and getting worse.

Also its a 2WD, the rotor is held on with a nut not the lug nuts. The nut is torqued, Bearings are new and have been packed twice now and a new inner seal each time.

The sound is not as bad as before. The sound was there before I changed brake pads too. If I spin just the rotor without the caliper it spun fine. After changing the rotor the caliper did not make the creaking while free spinning the rotor (caliper installed) but while driving it's definately binding or something.

Before it was so bad that you could feel the brake catch and release especially at around 15mph and less or at an almost stop. You could feel it catch and release which I attributed to a warped rotor and it was definately part of the problem.

I kinda wanted to find out what it was but I'm going to trade the X in on an '08 Cobalt SS as I use the X for a DD and it has 178,000 miles on it and gas is killing me with my commute:chug:.
