LEENJEN! I Need your advice on Amp specs

I blew out my old amp which used to power my sub a couple weeks ago. I want to buy a new one and want to make sure that it is the perfect amp for the system I have (without spending a fortune !).

Right now I have a 10” Rockford Fossgate sub and a Panasonic CQ-FX721N HU.
I run the front speakers through another amp (a Magnat 4x50).

I would like to add another 10” Punch sometime in the future so the amp I am looking for should be able to handle 2 identical 10” Rockford Fossgate Punch Subwoofers.
My HU has a Lowpass filter (80 Hz/120 Hz).

Subwoofer specs.
10” Rockford Fossgate PUNCH
Frequency response - 31 to 300 Hz
Power handling(RMS) - 100 Watts
Power handling(Peak) - 200 Watts
Impedance - 4 Ohms
Sensitivity - 87 db

Headunit specs.
Panasonic CQ-FX721N
4 x 50 W High Power
5V-Subout with Lowpass filter (80 Hz/120 Hz) and S-HDB

What kind of amp do I need to buy ? What should the power handling be ? How many Ohms? Are there any specific brands you would recommend ?

Thank you in advance!
Marc

i'm sorry. i didnt see your post earlier.

since your subs are 4 ohm SVC and handle 100 watts rms, you should get an amp that is either 100X2@4ohms; or even better 200X1@2ohms.
if you get a high current amp that is stable to at least 2 ohms mono, then you can run your 1 sub @4ohms mono for now and wire a second in parallel to make 2 ohms mono. most high current amps are stable to 1ohm mono, so you can actually keep adding if you want (3 subs or 4 subs).

you have an excellent headunit, dont go cheap on the amp. i think you'll be better off with a good high current amp that will last. check out the Orion HCCA series, Audiobahn HCX, US Amps, etc...
they will perform great, and last practically forever. they are built to withstand lots of heat. and with your 5volt preamp outputs, they will barely get warm.

leenjen thanks a lot ! you´re the man ! ;)
I am reallly clueless when it comes to Ohms + watts ;)
I will follow your advice and will post the results as soon as I buy the new amp.
