Need help bad - going nutz and broke!!!

I also have noticed lately that it wants to wander on the highway and needs alot more correction than it used to, kind of like an old F150 lifed with big tires and a worn stabilizer.

You need new TRE's and an alignment. Then get back to us!

Thanks for all the advice - It just took me a while to acurately describe it, - just wanted to make sure I was not going to be throwing money in all the wrong places. I will get them replaced and aligned then let you all know how it works!!

Hi:

Wandering on the road can be caused by TRE's as well as front axle u joints. Pulling to one side is usually front axle u joints. To test, raise the wheels on blocks, lock the wheel and than spin the tire. If the u joint is sizing then the wheel should not rotate because there is no give in the u joint.

Just a thought

Had around the same problem on my 93 and it turned out that my universal joints in the front stub shafts were so worn that the yokes were actually rubbing together when i would turn.

The drag from the grease and stuff in the hubs will spin these shafts when your driving.
