Which is better: overhead or headrest displays?
I want to install a DVD player, but I can't decide between the two. A single display must be large enough to be viewed by middle and third row passengers. But I can imagine anything larger than 10" would make the rear view mirror virtually useless (anyone with a large overhead display please correct me if I'm wrong)
Headrest displays are no more than 7" across. However, since they are right in front of the middle row passengers, they don't need to be large. But they are less ideal for third row passengers
My neighbor has a Honda Odyssey minivan with a small (7" or 8") overhead display. Its nice, but I want something bigger. I have never sat in a vehicle with headrest displays, so I can't make a comparison. I can get a DVD setup installed for cheap at Circuit City, so I'll probably buy from there. They offer Audiobahn, Audiovox, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony products, among others. I figure Panasonic and Sony are the best of bunch, but I might consider something else if the price is right. Can anyone offer specific brand/model recommendations? Or brands that I should definitely avoid? Thanks for any help
