not a fan of them personally.
#1 They are quite visable and look unatractive in my opinion.
#2 it stands to reason that they prevent addaquate cooling of brakes and roters.

Instead of getting shields, you could always upgrade to slotted/drilled rotors with ceramic pads, that should cut down on it a lot.
