Thanks Bill and 23! They are 4" Pilots. I mounted them from the front of the bumper by the way. They throw a surprisingly good amount of light and do a good job of lighting up the sides of each lane. The lane lines can be non-existent up here. For the price, I'm pretty satisfied, but they do get a little overpowered by my Silverstars.

They use H3 bulbs, so I'm going to swap out the bulbs with Silverstars sometime soon. I'll probably make a better wiring harness (better wires, cleaner routing) at the same time.

I dont know if silverstars will do much for you since the lenses are already tinted. I would try some 85 watt bulbs if you want more light.
I know a guy who has a supply of Catz 85 watt bulbs. $30. + $5. ship for 2 bulbs.

Its possible to melt the lense or the housing and/or the wiring. HD wire harness would be a must in my opinion.

Most lights will operate just fine w/85 watt bulbs. 55 watt is DOT standard and most mfgs. use that to get approved. As you raise the wattage the heat increases and if the lights are not big enough the bulb will usually fail quite soon. Going from 55 to 85 watts, in my experiance, has not hurt the lamps nor caused quick bulb failure. Although, an 85 watt bulb probably wont last as long as a 55 watt we are still talking a couple of years life for a fog light.

Thanks Bill. I will definitely think about that. Any thoughts on a set of HID bulbs from a place like HID Express? How would they perform compared to a set of PIAA 510s? PIAA also has the 610 HIDs, but $900 is a little steep for my budget. I was also thinking about going with HIDs with my headlights as well.

IMO, not to be offensive to anyone, the only way I would put HID into an X is the way huskeyfan23 has done it. Put in a set of projector headlamps. The glare would otherwise be offensive. Really you should also probably have a leveling shock system like the Limiteds. I put HIDs in my Cad. and used OEM projectors. Most all lenses designed for halogen bulbs dont work well putting an HID bulb in them. They were just not designed for that bright of a bulb. Again, this is just my opinion and I dont want to start an anti HID war.
