Need help on tranny Question

Can anyone tell me on a '96 2wd V8 explorer what tranny they used? I need to know all options... LOL This guy said his has a A4LD... I say no way only in 1st gens.... Thanks, Jason

I bought a '96 X and the tranny is acting up... He said he thought it had a A4LD in it... I was hope'n not.... Surely not with the V8.... I have had enough trouble out of A4LD's dont want a V8 with one... LOL Later and Thanks, Jason

Correct. 96-01 5.0's only. Each year has minor differences in sensors and stuff though.

sweet thanks boomin.... What size pipe did you run on your mounty? I want my X to sound like a stang.... Seems that V8 2wd are rare or around here there not that easy to find.... Later, Jason
