Need help with running boards

I have a 2002 ford explorer xlt and i just remover the running boards. only thing is now, there are the bolts that are still hanging on the underside of the body 1-2". Looks like there is some sort of brace they are attached to on the other side of the body. Tried to tap them lightly to get them out but cant, how do they come off?

Not sure how they come off but when I took mine off i just put the bolts back on in case they do decide to move. You cant even notice them anyway unless you look directly under the truck.
