You're saying that you are using Ford brand racks?? If so, that surprises me. Are you completely flushing your power steering (including cooler) each time? How about a filter? It might be worth installing one.

The best reman steering parts I have ever found are by ATSCO. Believe it or not, I believe they struck a deal with CSK to carry their parts. Many other major warehouses carry them. If you're going through that brand like you are, I would be looking for some other reason. You can call ATSCO for their suggestions too. They are located in Phoenix.

i do, do a complete flush cooler and all. but i dont have a filter, didnt think it would help much

Ive been looking for someone who builds the racks with better internals. Other than spending tons of money on a custom Howe rack there's nothing out there. I just bought one from Kragen with a lifetime warranty so i know i wont have to buy another one again at least. I know i will go through them every 3 months or so..

its was 150$ or so i think. and i have a buddy that works at kragen, they really cant prove the abuse its going thru so theyd have a hard time no honoring the warranty. i will spend the 1200 on a custom howe rack next year...

good chance the Kragen rack is an ATSCO.
