Need help

I have a 2002 4.6 explorer, I can not get it in reverse or drive. I can get it into 1,2,3 most of the time. p1700 and p1745 are coming up for codes, i changed the fluid and filter to the right level.

When i jack up truck with all 4 tires off the ground, each gear will engage and wheels will spin when giving some gas. once it's back under pressure gears will not engage again.

any help at all is appreciated.

I'm having the same issue...vehicle shows a p1700 code. Will go into reverse for a few seconds and then it slips out of gear..The vehicle also wont go into drive but it can be shifted 1-3 manually and once the vehicle reaches a certain speed it can sometimes be put back into D (drive). The fluid level was about 1qt and a half low..but it's been filled and nothing has changed. Any ideas guys?

possibly boost valve problem. have you checked line pressure(s) ?
