After going through 420 posts, I find no reference to this question. To get
more front seat leg room, is there a way to move the whole seat back another 2 inches? The electric adjust works just fine and will crush my chest against the steering wheel, but the maximum backward movement won't let me straighten my arms or legs. The seat is held in place by 4 screws and is mounted on a platform about 1 inch high formed from the floor. Moving the
seat back two inches would add to my comfort. I am 5'11". The car is a
2000 Explorer Limited with leather seats. My old '93 Eddie Bauer seemed to have more legroom, as the seat was bucketed.
