I'm getting more and more interrested in adding an MP3 player to my Exp. with the stock HU. I'm thinking about building something, possibly out of an old laptop or maybe just hiding a baby AT somewhere. I'd need to add a small LCD screen too, but something that would run 640x480.

The more I plan this out, the more expensive and complex it starts to get, so I might look at some off-the-shelf solution. It needs to have a hard drive, some kind of control that I can mount on the dash or center console, and it needs to work with the factory HU. I'm thinking about either a FM modulator or the 'cd-changer input' adapter thing that I've heard some buzz about.

The one big advantage that I saw with mounting a PC somewhere is that I could do the DVD thing as well, but I don't know if I'd really get any use out of that. I'd love some ideas from the group.

Thanks,
Blue

They make the Kenwood Music Keg.
I have one in my truck and love it!
40 gig removable MP3 storage, with USB cradle for your computer.....
It's like a 999 disc CD changer that can hold 10,000 songs. Will work with any headunit through a FM modulator, or you can get adapters for most aftermarket decks..........
