I have some Sport Trac gauges in my 98 Eddie Bauer. The OEM insturment cluster lights are very dull and yellow-ish. I got some LED bulbs off of superbrightleds.com, and they worked great for awhile, but one of them stopped working and it looks like crap. The bulb is not burned out, as occasionaly it will come on for periods of time.

All I need is some bright bulbs I could replace in my insturment cluster with. They are 194's.

thanks
Joe

I to would really like to know what to use. I have a few burnt out anyhow, so it would be that time.

also do we have the twist in type bulbs? Is that what you bought kingsnake?

hmmm. It seems like I had to take the actual light bulb out of the connector and replace it with the LED. Then you screw the connector into the back of the cluster with the light attached. It was a long time ago, but Im pretty sure the way it was

I have a burnt bulb also, what replacement LEDs will fit, Id rather change them all ? :D

Just a suggestion, you could try those ge nighthawk interior bulbs, I have them in my jeep and they really do make a difference. They are about twice as much but for about 15 bucks you can probably do the whole interior scene.

How difficult to change instrument light bulbs

how difficult is it to change the instrument light bulbs on a '95? Has anyone written a thread on it?
