Hello everyone, I have been reading this forum daily and getting more addicted to it as the days go on. Since I have started reading these threads, ( 2weeks) I have ordered the MAC intake, Helix TB Spacer, and done some of my own painting, have the roof rack picked out along with lights and a front brush guard..... needless to say my wife says thanks  .
I have been really looking at new rims and tires 32-33" but I am not sure about what I need, as far as a lift or anything. If anyone could give me some advice that would be great.

I guess that I should tell you what I have for a vehicle  98 Explorer Sport 2wd, 2dr. I know 2wd???? Well I still like the 4x4 look :p
Thanks
Jeremy..

Well you have alot of options: 1 torsion twist and shackles (or) add a leaf. good for about 2" of lift.
2 get some 5" spindles and then do spring over axle or new leaf packs. good for 5" or so inches of lift.
3 get a ranger body lift. good for 2" or 3" depending on which you choose.
I might have a couple things wrong but for the most part that should get you thinking. Good Luck and welcome to the board!

OK what are Shackles, and what is a 2"TT lift... please excuse the ingnorence... still learning about lifts

Yes a 2" TT just means tightening the torsion bars which are in the front in order to get your 2" of lift. Shackles are what connects there rear of your leafs springs to the frame. Longer ones give you more lift. As far as the lift from jcwhitney goes it looks pretty good. Just search around and you will find one if you don't like that one. There are quite a few spindle lifts for the 2wds. Any other questions just let me know. Good luck.

oh btw I am pretty sure you could just bolt it on and get an alignment and then you would be good to go.

appx.. thanks for the info, that really helps, now I can understand what people are talking about.

OK glad I could help.
