Ok, to start off i am from the mustang world, so i am doing the opposite here.
I bought My Explorer when i was 16 from my uncle, 278,x.. Miles on it. I drive through trails everyday, and go fourwheeling with my quad all the time so why not my explorer. Its a 1992 EB. Of course because of gas and college money is limited. I was thinking about this for my truck,
-2inch Suspension lift- Rear
-2inch Suspension lift- Front
-3inch body lift-
Maybe Custom Made Shackles? Suggestions for material? Anyone done this?
Anyone have experience with those same items?
What will I need as far as steering, brakes, or anything else?
I will do all work so thats not an issue.
Also i have Manual Hubs, but just the hubs, i would imagine you need a different nut or somthing?
When i push my 4x4 button, nothing happens, no sounds, no lights. sometimes both lights are on randomly. Switch works. newer motor.
Anything i can grab from the junkyard to swap in? Transfer case? I have a really cheap junkyard by me.
Thanks in advance, i know these questions are asked alot, but i looked and only found half my answers

Hello and Welcome! Do a search on this site for F150 coil seat and war153 shackles. You will get just under 2" of lift and it's about the least expensive route.

ok, i searched for everything but that, what about an over axle conversion? has anyone done a write-up on it? Thanks

Do you recommend a spring over axle? The different post i found were mixed up? i am looking for a 90? F150 2WD?

Ok.

Part numbers for the coil seats from a early to mid 90s 2wd F-150.
F2TZ-5A307-A
F2TZ-5A307-B

SOA will get you ~6" of lift and if you want to make the front match you won't be able to unless you get an actualy lift.

Lt.Jim's suggestion would be the cheapest and easiest way to get ~2" of lift. You can then get a 3" body lift for a ~5" total lift, and fit 33s.
