Need some suggestions for a few more inches EDIT: OF LIFT

I'm looking to get some more lift and I want it to be kind of cheap. I was looking at coil spacers and shakles but I can only find spacers in 2". Does anyone know if they make bigger spacers other than 2"? Or if I got bigger coils would I have to change anything else, like shocks or anything? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

need some info on your current setup......

You have the Skyjacker 4"on there now, with or without extended radius arms?

Also do your drop brackets (axle pivot) have another set of holes down lower?

Do you have a drop pitman arm?

Are you SOA in the rear?

Couple more inches = piece of twine and a brick :)

( I think that one is AlaskanJacks!)

Not sure of that, I'm at work right now so I can't check and I'm not really sure what to check.

Not sure of that either but I don't believe so.

OKay well its best if you find this stuff out.
However you can use the F-150 spring seats for another 1-5/8" lift up front, ONLY if your camber shims can take it, otherwise you wont be able to get it aligned.

this is why I asked those questions....

You can use shackles in the back for 1-1.5" of lift to match the front.

I would suggest first forgetting about more lift and getting some articulation, this means get the extended radius arms. Last time I looked there were some Used Skyjacker arms for sale in the classifieds.........

I paid $500 for mine........Extended radius arms are the #1 thing you can do to improve the ride, handling, and off road ability of the TTB front end, anything else is just lifting the truck, not improving the suspension.......

what exaclty does that mean? I've read a little bit about the wheels being tilted in / \ and then something to do with the camber shims. Right now my wheels are like / \ and I thought it was because of my balljoints which I was going to replace but I've read different. If my wheels are like / \ can my camber shims take the f150 spring seats?

I'm also guessing I can't get anything more than 1-2 inches more lift without anything dramatic?

Thanks a lot!

Travis if you look under the rear of the front axle there is a drop bnracket from the frame to the axle pivot bracket. Look all over the drop bracket and see if there are two holes that have no bolts in them. What 410 was saying was that the 4" and 6" lift kits from Skyjacker are the same and should have holes for dropping the front axle either 4" or 6". Now I don't know what Skyjacker sends that is different between the 4" and 6" kit since they are only $10 difference.

I think it might depend on how old the lift kit is since I just saw a new 6" lift kit and it was different than one that was being sold on here recently.

If you can take some pics of the lift brackets close up I'm sure we can tell you what you've got and what you can do.

You could add the F150 spacers to the front and an AAL to the rear to gain 1.5". I think that increasing the lift hieght will bring those wheels back to | |. I am having the same kind of problem with my lift coils settling too much and my tires are going / \
