I need a switched hot wire lead. Preferably inside the floor console or maybe on the drivers side that I can use near the console. I could tap into the powerpoint leads (2 front, one back) but they are always hot.

Can Anyone help me find something. I have the side Heat vent Panels off on both sides and the Shifter base off on the floor console.

Don't know what kind of Amperage you need or what you will be powering, but you could tap into the stereo head unit power since that is a switched line.

I'm sure I don't need much amperage. 15amps. I really don't want to tear apart the stereo molding. I'd like to find something near the transmission stick. I'm thinking about just adding a hot wire to one of the 20 amp fuses, then running it over steering column and then just ground the ground to the chassis somewhere.

I probed a wire assembly on the passenger side of the transmission shifter and found a hot lead that was on only when the key is on. It works. I added Cold cathode lights under the front seats and front footwells. I also added LED's to light up the Dashboard Heater vents and vents on each Footwell. Looks Cool. I'm a 50 year old kid at heart. Hah.
