need tire sugestions plz

anyone had any exspirince with theese they look nice as well Mickey Thompson Baja Radial ATZ or Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTX let me know

Every brand is different....and with my '99 and 31x11.50's...all I had to do was SLIGHTLY skim off a little front bumper (un-noticeable to the eye), and I wish I had gone bigger.

That was before the little shackle/TT lift...

If your thinking of MT's....then ur also thinking that you need to slug on the biggest tires that will fit...go all out!...LOL

Vibrations because of LT tires.

I was thinking to put Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo - 31 X 10.50x15 on my stock explorer, but the mechanic said you can not put LT tires on Explorers. They cause un-curable vibrations because of drive line issues.
Is it true or he is just being "Politically correct" so that they don't get sued over..

He's full of ****. You want an LT tire on an Explorer because it is a heavy vehicle. An LT has a heavier load rating than a pasenger tire.

If your mecahnic truly believes he needs to get out of the bussiness.

^^ What he said ^^^ LT Tires generally wear better, are rated for more load but will make the ride more harsh.

well i decided to go with some Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTX 31x10.50 tires since the local shop i have a account with can get them for a good price and warrenty the crap out of them plus i like the look agressive but still decent for the road thx for alll the info and help guys i will let you know how they work out
