Hey guys i am kinda new here. i enjoy all the threads most of which have given me great ideas. I wanted to lift my Explorer some to fit some 32" tires on it. All i can find suspension wise is stuff for 4wd seeing how i have a 2wd i am fairly sure that it won't work. Does anybody have any ideas that might help me get the result i want?

You could do 3' spindles and aal and shackles, or a body lift, or just tt and shackles.

i have a 00 XLT as well.. i put a 3"body lift on it. i fit 31s on just fine with a bit of trimming.

Incase you do not understand the lingo.
TT= Torsion Twist(There is a bolt on both sides that you turn to raise the front end.)

Shackles are used for the rear springs to add lift. Most people use Warrior shackles. Around $60-70

AAL= Add-A-Leaf.

Ok how about this set up, 3ich lift spindles, 2 inch torsion twist, Rear SOA conversion, 3 inch body lift, and 35''s or 36's. Thats what Im running minus the 35's, I only have 33's but want 36's badly

i got a 98 awd w/v8 i did a tt, 3"bl and shak in the rear and running 33s

This is a 95 with 3in body lift, 3in of TT in the front, 3inch *braced* pepboys shackles on 33's

BL: $170
new TT bolts : $12
pepboys shackles : $13
new bolts for shacles (optional) : $14
Labor: $180

did you have to get new shocks with the TT and Shackles? What kinda would be good to get?

Personaly I did not get new shocks... I havent felt the need to do so.

I am running 32s with the warrior shakles and TT. only had to trim the front plastic. No problems.

It depends on how much you want to spend.
Rancho RS5000 series run $50-60 ea RS9000 series run $90-100 ea.

Alot of people like the ES3000 Explorer Pro-Comp series.

I have been runing Trailmaster SSV for four years now and have liked them.

I really want to switch to the Rancho RS9000 in the near future but I have a hard time with coughing up that kind of money for shocks.
