needing some help

hey guys i have owned several explorers ranging from 1994 and up and first time signing up for one of these sites. i am on a tight budget but would love to lift my 2002 ford explorer xls 4x4 4.0 about 4 inches. is there any cheap ways to do it. i have herd you can use the spring off a older 2wd ford truck

The best way to figure the stuff out here is by using the search bar. There is a great wealth of knowledge on these forums, and trust me this question has been asked many times.

If it were me, I'd buy new torsion bars to lift the front, and add a leafs plus new shackles for the back. A quick way to get 2" is to do a torsion twist (search for it and it'll tell you all about it) for 2" in the front and add a leaf or warrior shackles for the back (again search for it). that could be done very cheaply (like 50 dollars) for 2".
