I will be replacing my battery, cause winter is coming soon and the battery is about 5-6 years old, and I will be replacing the negative terminal also. There are two cables running off the negative side, one large and one small. I am guessing the large one runs down to the frame, the small one only goes to a bolt on the radiator support. When I replace the terminal, can I only hook up the large one to the clamp and toss the small one, or do I need both of them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well if i were you i would just put both on the new clamp, may as well. I have no idea what could need grounding on the rad (unless you had a electric fan that grounded to the rad but i have to dout it)

I'd connect them both or ground one to the frame. Get a better terminal maybe?
