Wow Mike, let me know, that's cheap! Post some pics with the install, stainless or chrome?

The are 302 stainless according to Aries website, the don't show an option for chrome.

Yeah I'm really surprised it was so cheap. I'll definitely post pictures up after I get them on

Sad times, I gotta wait til next week for the install. Something (instructions) told me to check the hardware and sure enough I was short (x10 washers). Called Aries and they said they'd ship it asap. I did look at lowes and home depot but their washers where not as thick and I figured I might as well wait.

In the front, yeah. The back I think would be fine. But then again I don't have splash guards so I'm not 100% sure

Thanks. I saw a picture on Aries website that showed both the front splash guards and the nerf bars installed so I decided to give it a shot. I went with black bars for the Golden Bronze vehicle...

No problem, glad to help everyone get the best prices. Reading this forum saved me almost $2k on my Explorer purchase So I'm glad to contribute.

I'm contemplating getting the splash guards if they fit. I'm sad b/c I just finished claying, putting 3 coats of wax, and polishing all chrome bits yesterday. Then I got a bunch of road spray on it today b/c of the lack of guards...

The right side is the front of the car. Pictures was taken on passenger side

This is what the bubble looks like w/ a 48" level sitting on it. It's close but not perfect.
Both sides are identical.
Both front and rear of the bars are in their lowest positions so I could raise the front if I chose to make it perfect.
But then I'd have to check the other levelness (towards and away from car).
I didn't have a small level to check that at the moment.

The most noticeable thing about the bars is that they are closer towards the car in the front than in the rear by a little bit. But I think this is by design.

Where did you see the picture on the Aries website? I looked and didn't see anything with the mud guards.

Let us know if they fit. I need to get something because the step in is a little tall for my kids to get in, but am hesitant to order anything right now.

Received my nerf bars the other night and too was short on the 10mm washers. The hardware bag was open and so was the end of the box. Their customer service is great though and I should have the new hardware kit on Monday. I was hoping to do the install this Sunday since it's supposed to be almost 60 here in MA.

Hi everyone. Picked up my 2012 Limited Ex in Red Candy on Friday. I need nerf bars and can't decide what color. Chrome or Black? Which would you pick if it were your vehicle?

I ordered the chrome, but have not received them yet. There is a back order on them.
