Neutral tow kit.

Hey guys, about 1 1/2 years ago I had the neutral tow kit installed on my 06 Explorer 4x4 so I could tow it behind my motor home. I have not towed it in a good while and have lost the instruction sheet on how to activate it so to put the vehicle in neutral mode.

Can someone please refresh my old memory on how to do it. Many thanks. George

I don't have access to the instructions either.... they apparently came with the kit and only with the kit.

I don't recall off hand.... Shoot, my memory stinks!

Do you have the V-6 or the V-8? I can get you the part number for the kit, and you can probably call the customer service number in the owner's manual, give them the part number, and have them see if they can either find out or mail/fax/email you a copy of it...

put in neutral, turn key off (far as it will go) depress break pedal for 5 sec.

Go to 'Installation Instruction' - 'Electronics' - 'Neutral Tow Kit'.
On the first page very small manual - magnify 800%.

It is wrote that indicator flashes on all the time during towing. But my indicator flashes about 20 sec. then turnes off. Is this normal?
