1995 Explorer XLT
Hey guys im new to the board and i just got a 1996 Ford Explorer 2wd XLT. And i dont wanna leave it @ stock height. I want to fit 32's or 33's (preferibly 33's)
But what should i do...and 3" spidle lift or a 3" body lift. I was also curious if doing a TT, AAL, and Shackles be a good investment as well. Ive looked through a lot of the threads and heard different things about different ones, i just wanna know what would look best.
i also noticed that when u body lift the explorer, the rear bumper will stay low, will it do the same with the spindle lift?? And what can i get or do to raise it up to even level...just get larger bolts? Thx

To fit 33s: TT and spindles in front, SOA in rear.

You can search around for more info on these. That will give you 5-6" and should be plenty for the 33x12.50s. It's also all suspension lift, giving you better looks and performance than a body lift.

First off welcome to the site! THere is a search feature that enables you to search for topics.

Since i'm already posting here, depending on your budget you could do the Spindle lift with AAL and shackles to fit 33's or you could do the 3" BL and TT/SHackles to fit 33's with minimal rubbing. It all depends on what you wanna spend. IMO if i had a 2WD i would get the spindles AND the BL

I dont know much about fords what do u mean when u say SOA...im getting rid of a 2001 Grand AM GT, i dont know much about lifting! Sorry

Yomie, you forgot the easiest way to get 5" out of the rear is SOA.

Change the suspension in the rear to Spring Over Axle, not spring under axle as it is now. Some welding is required, but the SOA usually costs under $150 and is pretty easy to DIY, then get it welded.
