I just installed a set of Pirelli scorpion ATs, 31x10.5 with no rubbing unless the wheel is cranked and the suspension compressed.
Obviously, Ford's tire pressure recommendations don't apply to my new tires - or do they?

Well - My Dunlop's say to run at 35psi - I run them at 25psi and the wear is fine. Ford recommends 26psi...

Didn't want to start a new thread just for this so I'll ask it here.

Is there an easy way to get that blue protective coating off of the white lettering on my new BFGs

Nope, there's not an easy way. The best way I found was to take a rough brush, some Westley's Bleach White, and lot's o' elbow grease.

Hey, will you post some pics of your new pirelli's. I want to go with them next, and would love to see how they look. I would run them at 35 psi. That's what I run my tires at.

Chalk, and 26psi

25-28 is probably about right, do some checking using the chalk test, or drive on a gravel road and then hit some asphalt and check the wear across the tread.

My 31 1050s seem to be right at 26 psi around town, and I bump them up 5-10 psi if Im going on a trip, or expect to do some extended Hway miles.

P Perez: Get a sponge that has a green scrubby on one side (you'll need both sides) and a bottle of "Fantastik;" you'll get the blue off in under a minute per tire.

R SLade: I'll try to take some pics Sunday.

Thanks all.
