So I now have 2002 XLS and I was wondering what kind of upgrades I could do it?
I already upgraded the radio from the stock AM/FM/Single Disc with "World Plugs" to an AM/FM/Tape/CD/Aux with the "Phase 2 Plugs"
And I have searched and searched and come up with zilch...

1.) I picked up the Automatic Headlight switch from an Expedition along with the sensor that is on the dash. The switch works, but not the Automatic setting. How do I wire the sensor in? and do I need anything else?
I also picked up the Auto-Dim mirror. Do I need to install that to run the lights? and how do you wire it anyway?

2.) I have the base cluster. Is there anyway to do the Mountaineer cluster swap and gain the Message Center? I know I would need the buttons and the outdoor temp/compass sensor, but what else?

3.) I know this was almost impossible on the 2nd gens, but can you swap in the EATC controls?

Thanks everybody.

1) you will need a good wiring diagram for this. So, i cannt say for sure
2) I think it is more than just the cluster, I think the GEM module is involved too. A really good wiring diagram will tell you.
3). Yes it is possible, but you need the compete heater box, controls, sensors etc.... to do so. Most people have found it is not worth the time and $$$$.

thanks matt. so do you think the Chilton's manual with electrical diagrams would do it?
