1997 Eddie Bauer AWD
Greetings all I am a long time reader and first time poster. I have a 97 Eddie Bauer 5.0 AWD (not 97.5). I am actually about to hit 100k miles with the car by the end of the day today. I also have a 91 Mustang GT 5.0L and I pretty much love the engine to say the least. I am about to put WAR153's on this Saturday and will get it aligned.

I do have a few random questions though.

My current tires have plenty of tread and aren't even half way through their lifespan, I was curious if it would look silly doing the TT and WAR153 with stock tires? Or, would it be better advised to just step up to the 31's? Main reason I ask is because I would like to order a set of TMH and it is really one or the other.

Second, my headliner on the sunroof is coming down and needs to be fixed. The material itself is in good condition as is the sunroof with the exception of the handle that has aged and breaks fairly easily. I have searched the forums for quite some time and have not found a How To or thread that referenced this problem. I know the headliner has to be pulled off but I am a little apprehensive about just jumping in and breaking some random plastic piece that $50 from Ford. Any info here would be greatly appreciated.

Lastly, my fog lights do not work. They would flicker when I first got the explorer but now they do not come on at all. I have done the LOM bypass (my headlight went out and the LOM was the problem) and it did not help, though I have heard of it helping people in the past. Once again any help would be greatly appreciated, and I only post these questions because the search function did not yield any answers to my questions.

Thanks for reading, and I will post pictures soon.

I have done my best but still have not found much of anything unfortunately.

Check here for your headliner removal:

I did it in my '91, you gotta take all the front trim off, then take the walls loose, or take em out completly, take the lights down, then carefully try to take those plastic retainers out of the middle of the headliner, good luck with that. then the sides are held in place with the plastic wing looking retainers, those can be turned till they are out of the way. Now if you dont have a sunroof, you should be able to take the whole thing loose, if you do have a sunroof, you will have to carefully pry back the rubber weatherstripping around the opening, then it will comeout.
I think it is lipped on the front edge, meaning you will need to push the whole headliner forward a little then pull down.
Whatever you do, dont force anything...

and HERE

That last one is for a Ranger, but it's pretty much the same minus the moonroof and plastic pushpins. It helps to get the liner loose from the back or sides and get a hand between the headliner and the roof by the pushpin to support the liner and wiggle the pin a bit to remove.
