OH BABY, we went to the dealer to test the new Aviator. All I gotta say is whatever magazines got those times is BS. The Aviator friggen hauls, it weighs a little more than the Ex/Mounty, but the 5 speed and dohc engine are incredible together, and damn, lincoln actually lets a lot of badd-azz engine sounds through, sounds exactly like a mellow Cobra. Ride is awsome, didn't think they could improve that much on the Ex/Mounty, but it's smooth as hell. It's exactly like a Navigator inside from the dash to the leather used. And again, this truck hauls, I floored it and it was about as quick as a sohc 4.6 Mounty off the line but right when the revs started to build it shoved you into the seat. It pulls like a sports car in the mid-range and high-end and sounds incredible doing it.
My friends Escalade and times fors the Escalade (6.0 awd) will do 0-60 in about 7.4 seconds and quarter in the mid-high 15's. The Aviator felt quicker than it. And the quality was much better.
We know the dealer and the head guy there let me take out his Maurader Demo car, that is one very fast car. For something that weighs that much, I was suprised at how fast it was. Definitley a mid 6 second car.
