New brakes squeeeeeling!

The other weekend, I redid my front brakes.New pads and turned rotors. I used Raybestos premium pads, and Disc Quiet, or something like that, a red goop on the back of the pads. Now my brakes skreech like metal on metal until I've driven a few miles, then they quiet down. Any ideas on what I did wrong, or things I can try?

I had Brutestop by Raybestos on my X and the same problem. The pads were to hard for the rotors and eventually chewed them up. Hopefully you won't have that problem. Since then I changed over to Preformance Friction and everything is fine.

i almost never turn the disks, never use the goop on the back of the pads and i NEVER have squeaky brakes.

i just switched to the carbon metalic pads from AutoZone and dot 3 & 4 compatable synthetic fluid. no problems.
