new brakes?????

well they squeak when i apply them thats one thing thats making me think i need one brake pads and it takes longer for me to stop sometimes, and other reasons it might be the brakes????

Take off the wheels and have a look. The thickness of the pads and the condition of the rotors will tell the story.

Depending on the pads, a squeal dos not necessarily mean worn pads. Different manufacturers use different formulas for their friction material. Some have a tendency to squeal (actually a high pitched vibration), some do not. Only an inspection of the pads and rotors will provide the answer. If the friction pucks are 1/4" or less, then it's going to be time for pads soon. If you can see grooves in the rotors, it's time for pads & rotors immediately.
