I recently had all new equipment put in up front, everything was nice for a while, but now like 500 miles later, when I'm slowing down, coasting, there is a noticible clanking, that is related to my speed so it slows down as i slow down, but it also may be there when I'm accelerating but my flowmaster is a little noisy:) BUT when you 're coasting, as soon as you apply the brakes the noise goes away, until you let off the pedal, then it comes back after a few seconds. I'm taking it to the shop for an alignment in a week and I'll mention it, but there's a lot of smart people here. Anything?

Check all the brake hardware, sounds like something is loose.

Did you install the anti-rattle clips? The other thing I would check is to make sure the wheels are secure bearing wise. Push and pull on your tire to see if there is excessive play upfront. That's all I got...

Thanks, I will do what I can, I'm at school again and the very un-level lot isn't great for lifting anything, I might get access to a lift though. How do you like Ft. Huachuca? I was enlisted for a while, but I should be commissioned in 3 years and I'm hoping to branch MI.

Huachuca's all right, It's not a real big town but there is pretty much everything you need here. Tucson is about an hour away and there is somethings to do there but not a whole lot. I'm from backwoods NJ so Sierra Vista is a fairly big town to me. If you wheel there are a lot of good trails around here but I wouldn't know because my truck has been broke for the past 6 or so months. :( I can't complain about this place, I've got about 4 months left here and it's going to be alot better than where they want to send me (Ft. Polk Lousiana). I'll be going to UAV school in about a month so I'm hoping that will change my orders.

Eh, had an AT at Polk, I don't have much to say about it, except that It is only a tiny bit more moist than Az. :) Thanks again, I do check it out, I don't drive that often now so it's not a big deal.

Have someone drive past you slow and look at the brake calipers when they apply the brakes. I have had one come loose and it made a clunking noise. Do it soon as it can fall off and jam in the wheel.

First thing I'll try tomorrow, thanks.

OK, I found out what that noise was, after the brake job, the last guys either did not put ant-rattle clips in or they somehow came out. Thats why Im asking here, I don't know how they go in, is it possible for them to come out once the pad is in? Or do they have to not be put in in the first place. If they came out I understand, but if the last shop just didnt put them in I am going to talk to them. Enlighten me.
