Hi everyone,
I own a 2000 Ford Explorer, tried some of the ideas on this forum on her, brown wire mod for one. Right now I run 265X75X16 tires, a little bigger than stock. Had to cut just a small part of lower fender trim to avoid the tires rubbing. I am going to do the torsion bar and shackle lift as i only need a inch and a half of height. I put this explorer through heck last winter, we were fighting 66" of snow. The tires couldn't cut it that I had on it. Burnt the transmission up. Now a year later, new all terrain tires, rebuilt tranny, brown wire mod, and no problems this year. I had a nasty vibration at about 65 and above, all wheel bearings, rebalancing, new ujoints, and trying different wheels, I replaced the front driveshaft, smooth as ever now. i came close to trading it in, but when it comes down to the wire, I just can't do it. Thanks for the great help I hope to be a contributor as time passes.
