Thanks, but my IPC rejected the Forscan update with the "4".

Dark mode worked when I updated the BdyCM. However, the LED eyebrow over the headlights was still on. Also the 8 inch screen was at full brightness and it did not dim with the cabin dimmer switch. Went ahead and disabled dark mode for now.

So fired up the ol' Surface and decided to play around in the Super Duty and Explorer.


On the Explorer, I wanted to disable the double honk, and I wanted to enable the Climate controls in the right IPC. However, I'm missing all of these particular lines

I'm confused, as I thought on a 2014 Limited all the modules would be present. But these lines just aren't showing up in my options.

I was read from Ranger, My Exp don't have ACC and Forward Collision Warning, change
instantanious fuel consumption in Fuel Economy
IPC 720-04-01 Xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (default 0500 2000 00zz)
change 0 to 1 i will have instantaniuos fuel consumption

if i add 1 more with have Forward Collision Warning Message but DTC have error code (don't have hardware), i thing with other value in 720-04-01 Xxxx-xxxx-xxzz can add 1 more to have 2 to 3.

Which mirror button, and mine doesn't tilt at all when going into reverse. I have all 3 memory spots programmed on ours (1 - Wife, 2 - Me, 3 - All back / open)

My Acadia did this automatically and it was a great feature. The high belt-line and rake of the Explorer leaves a blind spot down low. Seems that there would be a way to enable them to tilt when in reverse.

:-D Thank you, but I stopped running those on my 90's model trucks. I did like the non-BLIS mirrors with the built-in convex setup. Wish they would do that WITH BLIS.

I have been searching the forums but haven't had any luck finding my answer.

I too want make the change from 3 flashes to 4 or 5. I have the BBFly Pro OBD II (bb77102 ELM D2 HS-CAN / MS -CAN) as was recommended somewhere. I am at a loss as to where to begin (note: this is a VERY tight fit under my dash, I might get an extension cable) This is a bluetooth device (supposedly). I can either use my android or laptop in the car. Is there a tutorial to get me going in the right direction? I looked at Torque (android) but I didn't understand how to use it. I loaded Forscan but the same thing: no way to understand the programming method. Can someone make a video on how to use these tools?

Yes. There's a good write up on the forscan forums about it. You can delete keys programmed to the vehicle as well.



Get something with an ms switch

This is what I use. Be careful with some of the $15 and under ones. They seem to be hit or miss if they work or not.

This is what I ended up buying. Thanks. BT was too finicky for me to try another BT device so I went USB and I'll use my laptop and Forscan. Told my wife I was going to add Bambi lights and she looked at me like...well...Bambi.
