i made a custom grill for my 2001 sport trac anyone interest in seeing it or want info let me know, i am not a dealer

No mods yet, but getting ALOT of ideas here.
 












Brian,
SOHC is Single OverHead Cam. There are two different v6's used in the explorer. the OHV (OverHead Valve) and the SOHC. The OHV motor was used in the early explorers. I think the OHV motor is good for about 160hp. Ford then came up with the SOHC motor. I think that one is 220HP but I'm not sure. I'm sure someone here knows exactly when they switched (I think you could get either for a while).

That looks great, I've been waiting patiently for someone to come out with a grill plate for the Explorer in metal but to no avail. I would love to put something like that in the grill and in the opening in the bumper. So are you going to tell us what you used and how it was done? Looks like a very nice week-end project. the mesh was approx 28.00 + shipping from egclassics.com and it too me approx 3 hours to do but now i could do it in 1 hour,,,it wasnt molded to fit i bent and cut to fit since no one makes it yet...
