Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. My daily driver is an 01 Sport Trac. My first love has always been Fox body Mustangs and Cpris, mainly 4eye cars but I love my little truck. I do alot of mountain biking and fishing and the Sprot Trac was the only vehicle to get the thumbs since I require a vehicle that can get 4 or 5 poeple, bikes and gear to the trail as well as get my fishing rig to the boatramp.

And here are some shots of my ST for your viewing pleasure. Cruising mode, bike mode and boat mode.

Thanks dudes.

@jtsmith....totally off the subject, I was reading about your 347 swap. I saw that you are running an X cam advanced 4 degrees. I went with an X cam in the new motor I just built and installed in my 82 Capri. I was conflicted on if I wanted to install it straight up or advanced and ended up advancing it 4* thinking that it might kick the power curve down a few RPM. I have read that it peaks fairly high. I havnt fired it yet and I have been second guessing my cam timing decision. So anyway, just wondering how the power band is and how you like it?

I will say, it is way more responsive than I expected. More so than stock.
I also added a 1" spacer, for the same reason.
installed straight up, the x-cam peaks at about 6300RPM's. The 4 degree advance should bring it to about 6000, I am guuessing. I have yet tune, or even dyno this to be sure.

I have about 15-16 inches vacuum at idle. My tach indicates 1100rpm's, however the scantool reads idle at around 975 in park.
I am curious to hear your vacuum reading. If you don't mind, please let me know.

Ya, 6k was about where I calculated as well. Most everything I read said it peaked around 6400 or so and I figures rule of thumb is 1* advance =100 rpm drop. Thats about where I wanted. It will probably be a while before I get er running. Still need to wire the car and run all the brake lines. Its also carbed so I would bet my vacuum will be a bit lower. 15-16 sounds higher than I thought it would be.
