New guy - Stereo Project

All I gotta say is awesome! Impressive how you're working with the software and building from your model.

here is with the final ring put on,

I got to register the truck tomorrow, so it might be awhile before i start doing the fiberglass, depends on how expensive the registrations going to be and I got rent this check too :(

Heres and updated render, i modeled the speakers i want and put them in, I think im going to go with this 8" Kenwood KFC-XW800F, Looks like im going to need a shallow mount speaker with the angle i made, plus the 8" mb quart i was looking at is discontinued anyways

Wow, what I would do to be able to build something like that....

Your work looks great, cant wait to see it finished!

I don't understand why you are putting a single 8" subwoofer with two 12" subs. It will hardly be noticeable.

I would much rather put a 8" inch midbass. That would be much more beneficial than another subwoofer.

well im going to use the 8" for higer bass, i dont like the way 12"s sound with the higher bass, so I have the amps hi pass filter blocking them, so for the 8" im going to cut off the lower frequencies,

I wasnt planning on using the 8 for crazy bass, the speaker im going to get for it is only a 150w rms speaker anywho, plus its shallow mount.

That box is sweet looking. Just wonder how your going to keep those amps cool?

PS: What kind of tools did you use to get the wood so smooth?! and rounded like that.

eh ill figure something out when i get to that part, the amp cover is just a rough idea ill remeasure everything once the box is done.

the only tools i have, and been using is a jig saw, metal file, drill and a hot glue gun haha

ive used a jig saw for everthing is the past, mostly because i couldnt afford the diferent tools and saws, so ive pretty much been foced to master the jig saw lol, although it would of gone alot quicker if i had a router table, skill saw etc. but oh well, im not in a hurry

You dont have the measurments and stuff of the peices do you? I really like your box and want to copy some things.

ive been interested in trying to do my own fiberglass work on my truck where did you get those cut outs or did you cut them yourself? i wanna make pods for my component sets and it would be a big help if i didnt have to cut them

yeah i just cut them myself, i usually use a jig saw, a better way would be to get a router with a circle cutting attachment, its alot faster and easier

looks good man like it alot. here is what i did for my brother in his 02 blazer i like the floating amp rack.

heres some updates finally, while i was waitin for some patches of bondol to dry i made the amp rack,

oh and i obviously got the second amp, plus i have the 8" sub and the mb quart component for the small hole, and i got a 2farad capacitor and some box termalls to install into the side of the box to make it easier to wire

Ill get some more pics tomorrow the sun was starting to go down on the last picture
