96 explorer awd
Hi everyone. I just bought a 96 v8 awd explorer for 1800. Well my issue is that the guy i got it from removed the front and made it 2wd. It still has the transfer case on it but thats it. I want to make it awd or 4x4. Would it be easier to do a sas or search for a front end to put in it. I have no clue how it is supposed to look so I do not know what I am missing. Sorry for the lack of details but this is all I really know. Is there a sas kit for these explorers?

Thanks in advance for the help

Welcome!
I would say try and replace the stock 4wd parts. Or if your wanting a lifted truck that can go just about anywhere then SAS. There is a bunch of SAS threads on here, just look for them

So I've been looking at doing a d44 SAS but I can't find any threads on where to locate the radius arms on the frame (I'm new to the forum so my search skills are not the best I guess). Also will coilovers bolt up to my stock shock towers? They seem wide enough to fit a spring in them.
Thanks.
