Howdy, yu all. Seriously, I have owned Fords off and on many years, but have been pulling a 36 foot 5th wheel with a Kenworth midsized truck. Growing older, and wanting to keep getting around more easily we just picked up a 2002 explorer. More on that later, but thanks for letting me into the 'club'.

MY 2002 xlt explorer 4x4 keypad

You folks run a great site and the members really seem knowledgable about the Fords!
I have followed the threads concerning finding the code. I 'think' I have the code but 1. The keypad does not illuminate and 2. Obviously, the keypad does not function using the codes I have.
The only positive is that the bottom two keys will 'lock' the doors!
Anyone have any info on how to remove the Keypad so one can check all the connections.
All the remotes work exactly as they should, and all the auto lock features work. Seems to be just the keypad.
Thanks for your help.:us

Welcome to the forum. New here myself. MY guess about the keyless entry would be that you'd have to remove the door panel. Had to fix my lock this way since it was sticking, however, the dealer did it so I'm not 100% sure it'll solve your problem.
