*new member* 1998 explore needs new engine???

Hi guys,
My name is Ruby I'm new to the site. I have a 1998 ford explore v6. About a month ago I was driving on the freeway and I heard kind of a loud noise coming from my engine, I thought, then all the sudden my car wouldn't drive, and it came to a stop about a month or so before that I went through a huge puddle and my engine light turned on. My car has over 200,000 miles also. I went and had someone take a look at my car, i was told that my engine had no compression. So what do you think I should do, try and sell the car as is, or try and find someone who will put another engine in my car?

PLZ I really don't know what to do
I live in Seattle also, so does anyone know a good mechanic who could fix my car?

umm, i really don't know. I had a friend at a little shop look at it, and he told me that the engine had no compression.
