Hello all, my name is Steve, and I'm an alco.... wait a sec, wrong group...
My wife and I picked up a blue-green 93 Navajo LX last weekend as a backup vehicle for $700. It's got 203k miles, but seems to be running and driving well. I'll be giving it a tune-up, replacing the driver's seat, and fixing a few other odds and ends in the coming months. Already passed it's smog test, and registering it tomorrow.
I say backup vehicle, as we have two other modes of transport. She drives a 2013 Fiat 500e for commuting, and I ride a 2006 Suzuki SV650. So we decided we needed another vehicle just in case, and to go camping with. The plan is to outfit it with a rooftop tent, and be able to carry all the gear inside with the dog (Italian Greyhound.) We moved to Southern California last year from Seattle.
Looks like you guys have a great trip planned this weekend, maybe I'll be able to make it out next year for that, but the rig is too much of an unknown right now to go playing in the rocks...
Any tips on things I might need to look for when going through this old rig would be much appreciated.
Thanks, and looking forward to getting to know more folks in the area!
Edit: Oh yeah, here's a pick when we were picking it up in Tarzana...
