Well I am having some clearance issues with my steering on my truck and I am thinking of redoing it and making it a crosspver style.

So my question is can I use a reamer to install my tierods ends from the bottom of the knuckle? I will then use my high steer arm on the pass side for the drag link.

And what size DOM would I use if I tap the threads for 7/8"-18?

Thanx.

I think this tubing works for tapping out and using for my drag link and tie rod. 1.250"x.812"DOM. I thought it would be smaller so I may just use 1.5x.250 and do the weld inserts again.

Do the threaded bung (hehe) inserts. That's what I did. What knuckles do you have again? Parts mike?

If you go the reamer route dont buy one- i have one you can use if you promise to ship it back.

I have the high steer setup already on it. My biggest issue is the the leafs suck.... So I am also going to start gathering parts to remove the leafs and do a radius arm setup. Which I should have done from the begining..

Cool I did that for him last time.

Sounds like me... I am glad I made the switch.

didn't we all warn you about leafs! :p: lol!

Yes!!!!! I know you all did warn about it when I did the build. But my main problem was acquired all my parts prior to my build so I had everything on hand, since it was so close to Moab. So I would have wasted several hundred dollars. So now I am going waste several hundred dollars now by re doing it.

Also i am going to start a new thread for a couple questions I have about re-using my current axle.
