New Sony volume knob/control?

Hi everyone! The Sony volume knob in our 2014 Explorer Sport was missing or damaged like this since we bought it used last year. I've been trying to find a replacement for it online and have come up short. Does anyone out there have any idea where I might be able to find a replacement? Or do I have to replace the entire media console?

Welcome to the Forum.
I've never seen anything like that before. Are those scratches? I don't know if that knob can be removed or not. I don't believe that question has come up here before.
If it can be removed, perhaps you could find one through an auto recycler. Several members have found replacement parts that way. If not, you could try painting it with a very fine brush.

It's not scratched - the foam/rubber material has been either deliberately removed or peeled off over time. You would think this could be easily popped off and replaced.

Yes, you're right. I believe it was a rubber type material. I can't see how that would come off by itself.
From what I've been able to find so far, the knob seems to be part of the bezel/face plate
