Yeah...Why doesn't my air intake look like that???

Your air intake hose looks diferent because that is a Ranger with a driver's side mounted battery. The Ranger airbox goes where an Explorer's battery would be so the ducting is a different shape.

Can you guys tell me what I need to make this work on my 97 OHV. Im going to start buying the parts for this ASAP. Thxs!

also, i haven't heard any status about how well it works and how durable it is. When can we get info about that. I'm curious on how well the preformance is.

Would it be wise to install a setup like this onto a motor that has 80k miles? It seems to be in pretty good mechanical shape, burns no oil. Would it be necessary to get a chip burned for this application? Wow this is great news guys! :D

BTW- What a wonderful way to granade my 4R55E  :D

I don't know, I don't have one. If I had one I could tell ya.

ya, i wonder how wise/well it would be to put on a 140K mile motor. although it did have the heads redone, new gaskets, and new starter around 128K. this seems like a great deal. hope it works.
BTW i have 1992 4.0L

Nice, I want one..............bad and for around $1500?

What do you do about vacuum opereated stuff? Since the blower produces boost, you'd loose your power brakes!?

Alright guys, just thought I would let you all know I have bid and won a Xterra supercharger with a 2.3" pulley and will be ordering the adapter kit within the next few weeks. I just want to know if you can all help me list EXACTLY the parts Im going to need for a painless install. Thxs and Ill be sure to let you all know how this goes!

P.S- The company selling the adapter kit is local !! This couldnt be any better for me! Im SOOOOO happy! :D

Sounds like a great deal.....but I wonder if it would pass CA emmissions???

Thxs ... wont be able to run with you quite yet though! But utleast im on my way! :D

Ok guys .. Just wanted to update you on this.

I talked to Thomas Knight (owner) and he says that this kit costs 800$ without the required welding and 1000$ with the welding done by him. He says the maximum ammt of boost he would run is 5-6#'s and to expect something around 12-15 RWHP per pound. He also says this will have no problem fitting on the explorers with either fuel system. Some more parts will be needed depending on your fuel system, but for the most part everything comes with the kit!

Im sooooo happy! Im getting this kit sometime this month. So buckle ur seatbelts .. cuz were gonna be boostin!!!

60-90 RWHP?

That seems a little exaggerated...........

Glad to know I'll be financing part of your project. Now that you pushed back my Supercharger project I expect detailed information on your install and how your performance increases. Would be great to have a dyno before and after if there was one near you. Don't forget the pics!

Steeda... you HAVE to do before/after dynos... if you dont, you will have a billion 4.0 people mad at you =P
