when I went to put the shifter on the only way it would fit on was backwards! The transmission shop installed the lever in the tranny up side down or 180 degrees around. Can you remove this and fix it with the tranny in the car? There is three allen bolts that look like would relase the shifter lever from the inside of the car. Any ideas?

Got a pic...If we could see it, we could probally figure it out..

If the shifter stub sticking out of the tranny is facing the dash, they put it in backwards. I think you can flip the shifter fork from inside the cab, but you might have to cut the rubber seal around the opening in the body to do it. you might also consider removing the cross member and dropping the tail of the tranny to get to the bolts a little easier from the top. If you remove the 3 allen bolts in the ring around the shift lever in the top of the tranny, the shifter fork should come out.
