Hey, I love my Ex. If you read my "registry", you'll see wheels are on my short list of mods I'd like to do some day. The look you've got is pretty much what I'd consider. Oh well, some day. Wife would kill me if I dropped those kind of bucks, good deal or not. Just had a kid and all.

They look great. I would have thought you would have ended up with the chrome ones though. Oh wait, mine weren't for sell "yet", lol. That is exactly why I am holding on to mine until I know for sure that I will never have another Explorer. But I don't think that is going to happen.

yeah BBQ I have zero chrome on my Ex so chrome wheels would not have flowed together as I would have liked. The silver wheels and the silver trim could have been a little bit closer but it is close enough.
I will say though BBQ seein' your wheels on your Ex is what made me fall in love with them. You may recall a PM some time ago picking your brain about them.

BTW, did you need any spacers or adaptors, or are Mustang wheels a direct fit? Also, what's the largest wheel you'd suggest that would still give me enough tire to avoid dinging my wheels should I need to hop a curb or something?

Nah...those days are over! I was just thinking back to when I worked for a fire dept in Florida and responded POV to calls with my '96 PUP. It was nice to be able to drive up onto a curb or sidewalk when I had to. I just don't want to limit my capabilities too much for the sake of good looks.

Those tires are looking awesome with the truck monmix! too bad we have had pretty bs weather lately but its getting better. As soon as funds are right i wanna get a pair of 18" chrome cobra Rs.

Gator, I did have to make a few adjustments to get the wheels to spin freely.
I had to notch the lower control arm slightly and take a little bit off the front sway bars. Those things are so huge the 1/4 inch I took off mattered very little. I also can not use inside clip on weights, I had to use stickey weights. I thought about spacers, but I like the wheels tucked in as they are.
